Wellbeing & Partnerships

Welcome Back to Semester 2!

Although the weather may be cold and dreary for the first week back after our holidays, it has been lovely to see the smiling faces of the students as they returned to school for Term 3! This week, all classes have been revisiting our school rules and thinking about what this would look, sound and feel like in the classroom, specialist sessions and on the playground. Have a chat with your child and see what they have to say about these rules!

Parent Support

As often as possible, we like to share any new services or supports available for parents.

As information is received from various health professionals, including psychologists, occupational therapists and speech therapists we will pass this onto our community. Whilst we do not necessarily engage with these providers, as a school, we would like to share this information, should it be of any interest or help to you.

SRC - Listening to Their Peers

Our wonderful SRC leaders will be participating in fortnightly meetings to continue to think about what their classmates would like at lunch times. So far, our SRC have enjoyed facilitating colouring, skipping and using the hoola hoops at lunch times. This term, they would like to broaden their offerings and will be surveying the classes to find out if there is something else they can offer. We can't wait to see what they find out!

If you have any items to donate to the SRC, such as colouring books, crayons/pencils, building blocks, please bring these to Emma Ramsamy or Mary Zappia via the office.

Running Club

Mr Todd will be recommencing the morning Running Club in Term 4. However, a number of children have been hoping to take part this term. If you have a current Working With Children Check and would be interested in leading the Running Club, please contact the office to speak with Mrs Rodda or Mrs Ramsamy. It would be great if we had some volunteers that could provide this opportunity at 8:15am - 8:45am each week.

Would you like to be a helper in our school?

At St A's, we really value any additional help from members in our wonderful community. There are a number of ways you can contribute by supporting the staff and children, such as: Excursions, Athletics days, Interschool Sports, Mother's Day/Father's Day events, Cooking & Gardening sessions and so much more! If you are keen to join in, please make sure you have a current Working With Children Check
