Last term my class participated in The Young Change Program, where we were placed into groups for a task. This task involved working as a group to create a solution for issues within certain communities. My team chose ‘bullying’. Our group searched for ways to support victims of bullying and eventually settled on creating a website for young people to contact for help. The day was so much fun and a great opportunity to discover new ideas for marketing and business.

5/6RTN had an incursion called The Young Change Program. We discussed a problem and how to make a change. Our group created a ‘bot’ to help schools deal with student problems. It was a fun day at The Young Change Program.

Our class participated in a Young Change Program. We had two people both from New Zealand helping and instructing us. We were in groups where we had to discuss a problem and find a solution. My group consisted of Dylan, Hamish, Jakob, Jaxon, and myself. Our problem was that too many people buy sports balls contributing to waste. Our solution was to have a sports ball that grows with you, inflates and deflates, changes size and colour, even what type of ball it is. It was a fun day and I enjoyed myself.

As we have had several new families starting this term and a few who started late last term, we thought it timely to give a friendly reminder that we aren't able to have dogs on school premises due to having our wellbeing dog, Ziggy, here.
