Principal's Report

Dear St A’s Community,

A 'warm' welcome back to school for Term 3!  Can you believe the weather we are having! Icy cold conditions!  With this in mind, we do have a number of students at school without their school jumpers.  I do understand that some childrenn don't feel the cold as much as others, but all I ask is that their jumpers are in their school bags as a back up.

A quick reminder about our upcoming Parent Teacher conversations being held next week. There are options for face to face meetings or on line meetings available, and I encourage you to take advantage of these opportunities to discuss your child's progress. Please remember to schedule your conference to ensure a meaningful discussion about your child's academic and social  journey.

Staffing

We are delighted to welcome back  Mrs Nicole Quanchi, who is returning after maternity leave!  Mrs Quanchi is back in the Kitchen on a Wednesday and Friday.   We also welcome 2 new members to staff Mrs Karen McDonald and Ms Zoe Murphy.  Mrs McDonald is now taking a new Design Technology specilaist for all of the students and Ms Murphy will be working in 5/6.

2025 Prep Enrolments:

2025 prep enrolments are still open. If you have a sibling commencing next year please submit an enrolment form ASAP.  We still have siblings without their forms in!

Sick students:

I'd like to emphasise the importance of keeping our school community safe and healthy. With the ongoing challenges posed by various illnesses, it's crucial that we all do our part to protect one another. One of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of illness within our school is by ensuring that children who are unwell stay home until they are fully recovered. If your child is unwell, please keep them home. In the event of an absence, please notify the school office via the absence line or email admin@safranksth.catholic.edu.au

New St A's students and families:

This week we welcome Cruiz and his family!  Cruiz has just begun in Prep C and we are extremley happy to have him part of the St A's community!

We also welcome Isaac into Grade 5! Isaac begins his St A's journey in Grade 5/6N!

At the end of last term we welcomed Scarleit into Grade 3/4W.  We hope you love the St A's experience!

Finally, as Winter settles upon us, it is essential to ensure that your children's medication and plans are up to date. Please take a moment to review their requirements and make any necessary arrangements to keep them safe and healthy during this season.

Please also ensure that students Operoo accounts are up to date.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. It is through our collective efforts that we create a nurturing and inspiring learning environment for our students.

Show Grace, Be the joy for others and God Bless.
