Wow — Term 4 is off to a fantastic start! The kitchen has been filled with laughter, learning and the delicious smell of cooking as students explore new recipes and fresh produce from our garden.
🌈 Leaping into Learning – Welcome Prep 2026!
We were so excited to welcome our Prep 2026 students during Leaping into Learning in Week 4! They had a wonderful time making playdough, mixing it up themselves and then playing with it afterwards. It was a great first experience in our school kitchen — so many happy faces and eager little chefs ready for next year!
🧁 Grade 2 Students – Choc Chip Muffin
Grade 2 baked yummy choc chip muffins. They learned about wet and dry ingredients, practised careful measuring and worked together to mix and bake their muffins. The smell through the Kitchen was amazing — and they loved tasting their creations!
🥕 Grade 3 Students – Homemade Sausage Rolls
Grade 3 made homemade sausage rolls, both meat and a vegetarian version, learning important kitchen skills like grating, chopping and working with puff pastry.
They showed great teamwork and pride in their finished dishes!
🍔 Grade 4 Students – Homemade Burgers
Grade 4 cooked and ate homemade burgers for lunch. They worked as a team to prepare all the fillings and assemble their burgers — what a fun and tasty session!
🍫 Grade 6 Students – Final Kitchen Session at Primary School
Our Grade 6 celebrated their final cooking session at Primary School by making HSPs and chocolate brownies. They sat down to enjoy lunch together, sharing stories and laughs — a perfect way to finish their primary school cooking journey!
🌱 Garden Club News
Our Garden Club has been hard at work every Tuesday lunchtime — watering, weeding and caring for our veggie beds. The students recently harvested broccoli and silver beet and took them home to enjoy. The garden looks lush and green, thanks to their care and dedication.
It’s been a wonderful fortnight full of cooking, creativity and teamwork. We’re so proud of all our students for the effort they put into the kitchen and garden each week!
