Important Message - Closure to College during School Holidays

Gallery Image

Dear Parents, Carers, Staff and Students,

As previously communicated, works are continuing on site as part of our ongoing Capital Works program.

Asbestos Removal Works

As part of these works, some asbestos removal is required. The health and safety of our school and local community is our highest priority, and all identified asbestos will be removed in strict accordance with occupational health and safety regulations. WorkSafe Victoria will be notified.

A licensed asbestos removalist will carry out the works under the supervision of an independent occupational hygienist, who will also conduct air monitoring. No asbestos removal will take place while students or staff are on site.

School Closure

TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF OUR COMMUNITY, THE SCHOOL SITE WILL BE CLOSED TO ALL STUDENTS, FAMILIES, STAFF, CONTRACTORS AND MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC FROM MONDAY, 6 APRIL TO SATURDAY, 11 APRIL INCLUSIVE. NO ACCESS TO THE SCHOOL GROUNDS WILL BE PERMITTED DURING THIS TIME.

Following completion of the works, the hygienist will issue a clearance certificate before the site is reopened.

If there are any changes to these arrangements, further communication will be provided.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Regards,

Aaron Smith
