Year 10 Photography Exhibition in our Yawa Building
The Year 10 Photography students have created a stunning exhibition in the new Yawa Building exhibition space, which will host regular student exhibitions throughout the year.
Students demonstrated their skill in using a variety of depth of field techniques to capture subject matter of a particular colour. They explored how aperture settings affect focus. When the aperture is set to a high f stop number (eg f36), the aperture opening is small and a greater depth of field is achieved, allowing more of the image to remain in focus. In comparison, when using a wide aperture (eg f4), the subject closest to the photographer is in focus while the background becomes blurred.
Using Photoshop, students then carefully arranged and layered their photographs into visually striking grids.
Congratulations to the students on a wonderful exhibition!
The exhibition also continues into the main foyer, featuring the below impressive artworks by Adam Hart, Ella Wesley and Pavlos Zavaleris.
