Visual Arts Activities

Term 3 was an enriching and wonderful term in Visual Arts as students immersed themselves in the culturally rich art world of Mparntwe.

Year 11 students visited Tjanpi Desert Weavers and Tangentyere Art Centre as part of their SACE study focussing on sculpture.

Year 9 students studying Albert Namatjira had the opportunity to experience Namatjira's iconic landscape watercolour paintings in-person. Many students commented on the small details the viewer can take note of when observing an artwork in the flesh.

The Art department welcomed Leckie Inglis, as the new Art Captain as Taylor Mostran's final project as Art Captain for 2026, the "We <3 Art Exhibition" was born.

Students from all years submitted paintings and drawings in the Term 3 Learning Expo.

We thank Taylor for all her efforts in contributing to the creative community of St Philip's College.
