To Strive, To Seek, To Care with HEART

Dear Families and Friends,

What a way to start the week! Many people have described Monday’s storm as the worst they’ve seen in Alice Springs. Yet those whose homes or businesses were damaged have also seen the best of human nature in the outpouring of support from friends and colleagues. I sincerely hope everyone can recover quickly.

It was an action-packed final week of Term 3, highlighted by our Parent-Teacher Interviews, Learning Expo and the Colour Fun Run.

Thank you to the many parents and carers who took the opportunity to discuss their young person's learning and development directly with our teachers. I am incredibly appreciative of our staff for their time and energy in providing families with such valuable insights. A special thank you must also go to my Executive Assistant, Jen Robertson, for her outstanding work in organising and running the interviews across both days.

The Learning Expo, beautifully organised and coordinated by Rebekah Cook, continues to showcase the incredible work created by students across all year levels. This showcase takes place in the final week of each term. Our final Expo for 2026 will be held on Tuesday, 1 December from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm. If you haven’t had a chance to attend one yet, I highly encourage you to come along and see the fabulous work on display.

Our Year 12 students have now completed their trial exams and have transitioned into Intensive Study Days for each of their examinable subjects. As a reminder, the library remains open every day from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm for private study. This is an excellent resource, particularly on days when students do not have scheduled intensive sessions. Please encourage your young person to make full use of this space to study and seek feedback from staff.

Looking ahead, we have a number of key dates approaching rapidly:

  • Monday, 26 October: Orientation Days begin for our 2027 Year 7 students (students must be enrolled to attend).
  • Monday, 2 November: Year 12 final examinations commence.
  •

Please refer to the Term 4 Calendar or Schoolbox to keep up to date with the many activities and events scheduled throughout the rest of the year.

As always, Term 4 promises to be a very busy and rewarding one!

Warm regards,
