Year 4 newsletter  27/10/2023

In Art, we have been making Steam Punk Jet Packs. The materials we had used were card board, plastic bottles, spray paint (with Miss Kennedy). 

Okay now to Literacy: We just finished our mentor text Uncle Xbox and in Word Origins this week, we are doing words with the morphemes, Duce / Duct. So far we have only done produce and conduct. Produce means you make it or create something. Conduct means to guide or lead something.

In P.E we have been learning how to play tee ball. We improved our throwing and  catching.  We got taught how to play proper, full games this week.    

In Maths, we are learning 3D shapes and how to name them and how to tell them apart. We are also building 3D buildings by folding special paper patterns and gluing them together. We are also learning how to draw them, which can be tricky.

Just a reminder 3/4  camp is next week - Wednesday the 4th to Friday the 6th.
