Term 4 Planning 

Our teachers have recently spent time working collaboratively to plan learning for Term 4. As part of this process, each teaching team has developed a Statement of Intent, which provides families with an overview of the learning and key curriculum topics students will explore throughout the term.

While these documents provide a roadmap for learning, our teachers continually reflect on student progress and adapt their planning to respond to students' needs, interests and achievement as the term unfolds.

At Mount Pleasant Road Primary School, we use the Guided Inquiry approach to teach Health, Design and Technologies, Capabilities and the Humanities (Geography, History, Civics and Citizenship, and Economics and Business in Years 5/6).

Guided Inquiry encourages students to ask questions, investigate authentic problems, think critically and apply their learning in meaningful ways. It is consistently one of the highlights of the learning program for many of our students.
