Principal's Message
Trivia Night- this Saturday
Get ready for a fantastic night of fun, laughter and friendly competition at our Trivia Night! Doors will open at 6:30pm, with trivia kicking off at 7:00pm at Mullauna College. Gather your team, bring along your competitive spirit and get ready to test your knowledge across a range of fun and challenging questions. We’re looking forward to a wonderful evening with our school community and can’t wait to see everyone there for a night of fun, friendship and plenty of laughs!
Volunteers
Last Friday, we were incredibly fortunate to have so many members of our school community generously give their time to support our school. From our Working Bee volunteers, to those who helped with the Trivia Night baskets, and our wonderful Fathers/Special Persons Stall parent helpers, our school community simply could not run the many wonderful events and initiatives we offer without the support of our amazing volunteers. A huge thank you to everyone who was able to lend a hand, we truly appreciate your support.
We have plenty more exciting community events coming up, including our Kinder BBQ at Bunnings, Election BBQ and Cake Stall, and our Christmas BBQ. All of these events rely on the generosity of our families and community members who are willing to volunteer their time. Please keep an eye out for our upcoming volunteer rosters and consider putting your hand up to help. Every contribution, big or small, helps make these events a success and strengthens our wonderful school community.
District Athletics
Congratulations to our 53 students who competed at the District Athletics Carnival on Monday! Representing Mount Pleasant Road Primary School at this level was a wonderful achievement, and we are incredibly proud of the effort our athletes.
We are also thrilled to celebrate the many students who have progressed through to the Division Athletics Carnival on Tueaday 13th of October, following their outstanding performances. What a fantastic achievement!

Pre Loved Book Stall
This week, our SRC proudly ran our Pre-Loved Book Stall, giving students the opportunity to choose a book to take home while supporting a very worthy cause.
A huge thank you to all of our families who donated books and helped make this initiative possible. It was wonderful to see so many students excitedly browsing the collection and choosing a book to enjoy.
All funds raised through the stall will be donated to the Royal Children’s Hospital, supporting the incredible work they do for children and families.
School Band Performance
We are excited to invite our school community to enjoy a special performance by our talented School Band on Monday 14th September at 10:00am in the school hall. Our students have been working hard during rehearsals and are looking forward to sharing their music with the community.

Footy Day- Thursday
Our PE teacher, David, has been working with our Sports Captains to plan some fun footy activities for Thursday 17th September.
To celebrate the day, students are welcome to wear a sports outfit representing their favourite sport to school. We look forward to seeing everyone getting involved and showing their sporting spirit!
School Disco- Friday
One of the highlights of our final week of term will be our whole-school disco! Organised by Kate Tyson and our Performing Arts Captains as part of their leadership role, the school hall will be transformed into a fun disco space where each year level will enjoy games, music and the chance to show off their best dance moves. This year's "Off to the Movies" theme was voted on by our Student Representative Council, giving students the opportunity to celebrate dressed as their favourite movie character or in a movie-inspired outfit.

2027 Planning
At this stage of the year, we have started planning for 2027. If you know that your child will be leaving us at the end of 2026, please email the office to let us know as soon as possible with the title 'Attention Louise and Claudia' .
