Pet Food and Toys Drive
During Term 3, our Secondary Mission Sisters are running a donation drive to support animal shelters across Hobart.
Over the next 4 weeks, secondary students are encouraged to bring in food, toys or blankets and towels. You can drop off your donation to your Clan room.
Donations play a crucial role in ensuring our furry friends receive the care they deserve and that shelters are loving and safe havens for animals in need.
Catholic Education Week
Our Year 6 Student Leaders represented our College at the Catholic Education Week Mass which was held at St Mary's Cathedral last week.
At this Mass our students celebrated Catholic Education in Tasmania, met our new Archbishop - Archbishop Anthony Ireland; farewelled our outgoing Archbishop - Archbishop Julian Porteous and our Principal Mrs Megan Richardson received our response to the Archbishop's Charter.
Homelessness Week
Our Year 9/10 Service and Learning students and our Secondary Mission leaders, Zarah Dutta-Nielson and Scarlett Sweeney, assisted in serving at the annual Vinnies Homelessness Week Breakfast held at Legacy Park, Domain very early last Tuesday morning.
This was wonderful opportunity to meet with local politicians, staff from Bethlehem House, Louis Van and Vinnies Donation Shops about donations we have and will continue to organise for residents, the marginalised and the residents of assisted living.
These students also created placards with facts and figures about homelessness in Tasmania which were displayed in and around our College.
A wonderful cause and opportunity to increase the awareness of those most vulnerable in our local communities.
