Leadership Report

This week’s newsletter brings a mix of reflection, celebration, and important reminders.
We are deeply saddened to hear of the recent passing of former Magill Junior Primary principal Wilma Sullivan, who led our school from 1997 to 2010. Wilma is remembered for her years of service and her contributions to the school community during her time here. We extend our condolences to her family and friends.
In brighter news, Year 1 and 2 students have thoroughly enjoyed their swimming lessons this week. These sessions have been a wonderful opportunity for students to learn important water safety skills while having fun. The excitement is building for today's final session, where the students will celebrate with a whole group dance in the water—a fun and fitting way to end their swimming experience. Thank you to staff and parents for ensuring these sessions have run smoothly.
Earlier this week, our Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) service underwent an assessment against the 8 National Quality Standards. We are incredibly proud of our OSHC Team for their dedicated preparation and teamwork leading up to this assessment. The assessors highlighted the positive interactions observed between children and Educators, a clear reflection of our school values in action. We now wait patiently for the official outcome.
Finally, a reminder to all community members: please be respectful of the Disabled Parking Spaces on school grounds. These are reserved for families who have a valid disabled parking permit. We kindly ask everyone to observe and respect the clearly marked parking spaces.
Thank you for your continued support and care for our school community.
Kind regards,
Daniela Lawlor
Deputy Principal
