Athletics Carnival

Wednesday 23rd April

Our annual School Athletics Carnival was a fantastic day filled with energy, enthusiasm, and school spirit. Students from all year levels participated in a range of track and field events, showcasing their skills, determination, and sportsmanship. House colours were proudly worn, and cheers echoed across the field as teams competed for points and personal bests. A big thank you to our staff, student leaders, and participants who helped make the day such a memorable success!

HOUSE CAPTAIN REPORTS

Kooira:

On athletics day all houses competed with each other. It was great to see everyone out there giving it their all and enjoying themselves. Whether you were competing, helping out, or just on the sidelines cheering, everyone had amazing effort and great sportsmanship. People were respectful, kind, and genuinely made a positive environment for the whole day. That's what made the day so wonderful for everyone.

There were just so many moments of people striving, stepping up big for their home, and showing up for each other no matter what. Whether you came in first or last—it was all about being part of the team and showcasing that carnival spirit.

Though, we are proud to announce that Kooira came on top!

I'm so proud of everyone. We tried our best at every race and every event. We all worked together and were very supported, in the end it really paid off. The win is due to each and every single one of you who represented the blue color proudly.

Thank you everyone for trying you best!

Warrat:

In the beginning of term 2, we had athletics day. Athletics day is a day where all houses verse each other in a variety of activities and earn house points. I just want to acknowledge everyone who participated in this event and tried their best and proudly represented our house that day. We may not have won, but I believe we did amazing. I saw a lot of great runners on the field and a plenty of creative outfits. I am very pleased with our effort.

This year the athletics carnival had been such an exciting experience for Warrat house! From the very beginning, we came together as a team showing great determination and sportsmanship. Each and every one of us had contributed to building a stronger sense of house pride, that being cheering from the side lines or participating in different events.  We all had a great time and made unforgettable memories.

Coolup:

On athletics day we had many events that took place like sprints, long jump, high jump, discus and shotput. We had many people place in the top three so good job to them. It was a really good day, people enjoyed themselves and appeared to be having fun down at the track.

We had so much fun doing different activities with the year 8s and the year 7s this year. It was amazing cheering on our friends especially at the relay races. Lots of people have dressed up for this event, with matching outfits and lots of paint !!

Warreen:

We would like to congratulate those who went or who are going to proceed ahead from the event, to represent their colours and our school. The sports that we had the option to participate in were, high jump, long jump, triple jump, discus, shotput, on foot racing (100m, 200m, 400m, 800m), and also a relay round at the very last. This activity was an exciting event to prosper and enjoy. I personally enjoyed it and had a great time. Thank you for reading!
