Wellbeing Leader - Mr Nick Flavel

St Bernards PS is dedicated to creating an inclusive, supportive, and culturally safe environment where the safety and wellbeing of all students and young people are paramount. Our school has a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse and takes proactive steps to identify and address any potential risks of harm. We are committed to ensuring a child-safe environment in which students feel secure, respected, and empowered to share their perspectives on matters that affect them.

To uphold this commitment, we have appointed Child Safety Officers who play an essential role in promoting and maintaining a child-safe culture across the community. Officers collaborate with staff to support student wellbeing, respond to concerns raised by students and families, and ensure that child safety policies and procedures are consistently followed. They also provide guidance to staff, help strengthen a culture of safety, and act as key points of contact for any child safety matters involving students, staff, and volunteers.
