Music at MAG
Primary Choir Tour
On Monday 4 September, our Primary Choir consisting of approximately 60 students from Years 3 – 6, embarked on a tour around Echuca/Moama performing to several Aged Care facilities, a Retirement Village and to the general public as part of a ‘Pop-Up Performance’.
Throughout the day, students performed a fabulous program of six songs at a total of five different venues including:
- Cobb Haven, Moama
- Echuca Community for the Aged, Echuca
- Hopwood Gardens, Echuca
- Glanville, Echuca
- Southern Cross Care, Moama
Performing for residents at the Aged Care facilities and Retirement Village was an incredibly rewarding experience, enabling us the unique opportunity to strengthen our community connections, as well as provide joy and happiness to our appreciative audiences on the day.
A highlight of the day was our impromptu for the general public. Our students enjoyed a spontaneous gathering of spectators, while performing with the busy nearby traffic, which added to the thrill of performing live!
Secondary Guests Visit Year 1 Music classes
Year 1 students have had a great time exploring the world of orchestral instruments this term. They were in for a treat when several Secondary students paid a visit to our Year 1 Music classes to demonstrate some instruments.
We'd like to extend our gratitude to Gabrielle for showcasing the violin, Sophie for playing the flute, Josephine for sharing the saxophone, and Zena for giving us a taste of the trombone. Their visits added an extra layer of excitement to our music lessons, making the experience even more enjoyable and engaging for our Year 1 students.
Invitation to the Springtime Concert
Join us for a fabulous evening of music at our Springtime Concert, showcasing an impressive variety of solo, duet and ensemble musical pieces performed by our Secondary students, showcasing a range of instruments including piano, violin, cello, drums, guitar and voice. Our Snr Drumline and Jazz Ensemble will also perform a terrific selection of pieces.
We extend an invitation to families and friends to join us and share in the joy of what will be a thrilling musical experience!
