Dear Families and Friends,
Welcome to Term Four, how time is flying by. It was wonderful to return to school after the holidays and see all students and staff ready for a term filled of learning. The classrooms are filled with smiling faces and the playground has been abuzz with fun and laughter.
We have a busy term ahead filled with special events and learning opportunities for all.
Bible and PJ Night
Thank you to all families who attended Bible and PJ Night. It was a lovely evening sharing scripture, exploring friendship love and kindness. Thank you to Miss Webb and our Catholic Teaching Team who lead the evening for us.
Good Samaritan Prayer
God of love, may we always see the world through the eyes of the Good Samaritan and be filled with your deep compassion.
Help us to be kind neighbours even when it is difficult.
Grant us the insight to see the need in those around us, the wisdom to know how to respond, and the strength to do so willingly.
May our love of you and love of our neighbour call us to be people of peace and justice in the world. And may we, like the Good Samaritan, always ‘go and do likewise’.
National Award For Intercultural Excellence
I am very proud to share with you that over the school holidays St Anthony's staff and students were awarded a national award for intercultural excellence. The National Awards for Intercultural Excellence is an initiative from Together For Humanity to recognise high school student champions, as well as teachers, teams, or schools who demonstrate leadership, passion and influence in intercultural and/or interfaith concepts or issues.
In 2024, the National Award also recognised those who are championing inclusion, intercultural or interfaith initiatives within their school communities.
We were one of nine school from across Australian that received such an award.
Prep 2025 Information Evening
In the first week of term, we had a fantastic evening welcoming all parents and families for Prep 2025 to St Anthony's. It was a great way for families to meet one another and share their excitements and worries for their child starting school. We have Step Into Prep Days coming up in November.
We are working on finalising class numbers for 2025. If you know any families wanting to join St Anthony's please let them know that now is the time to visit the office to collect an enrolment pack.
If your family is not returning in 2025, please inform the office.
