Learning and Teaching Update

'We aim to provide a school environment where ‘Every person can flourish and be known’ This means that our teaching program identifies the unique needs of each individual student, and delivers a learning program designed to grow them into the best person that they can be'.

Dear Parents and Carers

We have had a busy start to the term. Our students have been learning a lot of new topics and concepts over these weeks. Soon, our teachers will begin their Assessments in preparation for their reports.

We are continuing our work with the Vision for Instruction with all staff. The students are experiencing the Daily Review and Retrieval Practices everyday in their classrooms and the routines that are being set up are working for all students to access the learning. We are exploring these full participation strategies to ensure every student participates in all aspects of the learning each day and that no one is left behind. I encourage you to ask your child about how they learn at school, which part of the learning they experience success in and where they can identify the challenges. These conversations enable children to be more aware of themselves as learners and are able to self direct their learning.

Thank you for all your support with your child’s learning journey this year.

Have a wonderful and safe long weekend.

Kind regards

Glennis Kerr
