Cross Country

This term, our 3-6 students had the opportunity to participate in the Malvern Primary Cross Country. On April 30, all students grades 3-6 walked to Central Park where they competed in the school cross country course. Students ages 8, 9 and 10 years old completed a 2km course and students 11 and 12/12+ completed a 3km course.

On May 16th, 54 students walked to Caulfield Park with butterflies in their stomach.  Once we had arrived at Caulfield Park the first people running were the year 3s and 4s, then the 5s and then the last year 6s.

We all had a fun time but everyone was running out of breath by the end. Malvern Primary had a total of 7 runners advance to Division across all age groups; Tessa D, Maya O’N, Flossy S, Maddie McC, Abi I, Charlie B & Jacob K.

On the 28th of May at Cornish College in Bangholme facing even tougher competition our students ran to represent our school. Out of our 7 runners on the day, we had 2 runners progress to regionals on 18th of June; Tessa D & Charlie B.
