Student Reports

Next Wednesday parents will be provided access to their child's Semester One report, via COMPASS.

The report provides you with information about your child's achievements against the Victorian Curriculum.

Home - Victorian Curriculum F–10

The report will provide you with information on:

  • where your child is on the learning continuum (the levels used to measure learning)
  • how they're progressing to meet the next level of achievement
  • where they need to improve and what the next steps are.

In our reports this is done by providing:

  • a series of dots to indicate your child's level of achievement for each learning area (page one),
  • curriculum statements outlining the learning undertaken during this semester in each learning area,
  • a yellow bar to indicate the 'expected level of achievement' for children in your child's year level for this point in the year (page one),
  • an indication of your child's learning growth (progress) from the last time they were assessed in the curriculum area,
  • statements of achievement for classroom curriculum areas (English, Mathematics and Integrated Studies units),
  • statements of future learning focus for English and Mathematics,
  • a general comment from the classroom teacher, with a focus on your child's social, emotional and academic achievements/growth.

Parents are not offered a formal interview at the end of this semester, this is offered mid semester (end of Terms One and Three).  However, parents are encouraged to contact their child's teacher if they would like to discuss anything in the report or do not understand how to read them.
