Year 6 Market Day

This term, our Year 6 students have been learning all about business and economics, exploring the many factors that influence personal consumer and financial decision‑making. Throughout the unit, students developed their understanding of taxation, the importance of managing personal finances and strategies for keeping money safe.
As part of their learning, students became true entrepreneurs, creating their own business plans for Market Day stall ideas. They sourced materials to make their products (or sourced items through generous donations), created advertisements, designed and set up their stalls and proudly sold their products to the school community. It was an authentic, hands‑on learning experience that brought their classroom knowledge to life.
The Year 6 students are to be wholeheartedly congratulated on their outstanding work throughout this entire unit. Their stalls and products looked incredible, and they demonstrated professionalism, teamwork and confidence during Market Day. Their enthusiasm and commitment were evident in every detail.
A huge thank‑you goes to our wonderful Year 6 teachers for guiding and supporting the students through this rich learning experience, and to all the families who generously donated items or assisted students in sourcing materials for their stalls. Your support helped make Market Day such a success.
