YEAR 6 MARKET DAY – Part 2

On the 17th of June, we had our Year 6 Market Day. We started the morning by setting up all our different stalls and making sure we were all organised for after recess. Everybody was buzzing with excitement and anticipation on how the day would go. All our stalls looked fabulous and bursting with colours and prizes. After recess we went to the MPC and stood behind our tables, waiting for the first group to come in. Everybody looked a little bit nervous but also had big smiles on their faces.

The first group was the years 1 & 2 and the minute they walked in we could tell they were overwhelmed by which stall to visit first. A lot of parents and grandparents came and were walking around asking questions about our stalls. There was also a teacher’s stall, which was selling some posters but mainly were exchanging tickets for money so the parents could buy some things as well. By the time the second rotation rolled around, we were EXHAUSTED!

The Year 6’s also got the chance to wander around and look at the other stalls. There was some really cool stalls like lucky dips, nerf gun knockouts, blind bags and second hand books and toys. And that was only a few of the AMAZING stalls. When the last group rolled around a lot of stalls were almost sold out.

Overall, we had a really successful Market Day and all the year 6’s had an GREAT time!!! A special thank you to all the families that donated books and toys, those stalls wouldn’t have gotten to put their great idea into action if it wasn’t for you! We made a total of $3,795 from all the ticket sales! We were all very proud of each other and gave ourselves a big pat on the back!
