Mothers Day Mass & High Tea

It was wonderful to welcome so many mums, nannas, grandmothers and special people to our Mother’s Day & Special Person’s Mass and High Tea today. Thank you to everyone who took the time to join us for such a special celebration. We feel very grateful to have such wonderful families and special people who continue to support and care for our students and school community.

A big thank you to our Foundation/1/2 students for leading the Mass so beautifully, our Grade 3/4 students for preparing thoughtful gifts for our special visitors, and our Grade 5/6 students for preparing and hosting the High Tea that was enjoyed by all. Thank you also to our staff and families who helped prepare food, organise spaces, and support the morning behind the scenes.

One of the best parts of the morning was seeing the smiles on our students’ faces as they welcomed their special person into our school environment. It was lovely to see the excitement, pride and joy shared throughout the morning, along with the many conversations, laughs and special moments together. The day was a wonderful reminder of the strong sense of community we have at St Mary’s, and we are very thankful to everyone who helped make the celebration so special.

We are incredibly proud of all students who attended the Interschool Cross Country on Wednesday May 6th and gave their best effort throughout the day. It was wonderful to see students encouraging one another, cheering on their peers and approaching the event with such positive attitudes and participation.

Students represented St Mary’s beautifully and should be very proud of the way they conducted themselves on the day. We are very lucky to have such wonderful students and supportive families within our school community.

                                                               SCHOOL DROP OFF

Please be advised that the safe drop off point for students before school is using the hall car park and crossing on Hume Street. Parking on Southam Street is reserved for staff and is a no standing/bus zone.

                                                                 CAR PARK

When entering and leaving the carpark, please be mindful of other vehicles and pedestrians.  In the morning we ask that parents park in the carpark and walk their child/ren across the road to the back gate.

After school the teacher on duty will walk the students to the tennis court gate.  Parents can then collect their child from the fence. NO child is to walk through the car park without an adult.

We also ask that all cars are parked facing the south (bush) and that they leave via behind the school hall onto Reed St.

This is to alleviate the busyness of the Hume St entrance.

You are asked not to park near the tennis fence close to the entrance

to the carpark as our students wait in that area.
