Welcome back to Term 2! I hope all students, families and staff had the opportunity to rest and recharge over the break. We are looking forward to another productive term filled with learning, growth and new opportunities for our students.

You will notice some significant changes around the school as construction begins on our new accessibility ramp. While these works are an exciting improvement for our school and will provide better access for everyone in our community, they are also creating some temporary disruption to routines, access points and learning spaces. I would like to thank students, staff and families for their patience and flexibility as we work through this process. Our students have done a fantastic job adapting and making the best of the changes.

As we move further into the year, attendance continues to be an important focus for us. We know that consistent attendance is one of the biggest factors in student success, particularly when it comes to building pathways into further education, training and employment. Recently, our attendance rates have been lower than we would like, and we encourage all students and families to work closely with us to improve regular attendance. Every day at school matters and helps students build the skills, confidence and relationships needed for future success.

We are also proud to have a number of students currently exploring a return to mainstream schooling. This is a significant achievement and reflects the growth, resilience and effort these students have demonstrated. We encourage all students to continue working towards their goals by demonstrating the positive behaviours, engagement and persistence that support successful transitions and future opportunities.

Thank you again for your ongoing support.

We look forward to a positive and successful Term 2 together!
