High Ability Programs

Success Integrated - VCE Study Skills for Success Workshops:

On Wednesday 4th March, our VCE cohort participated in a Study Skills for Success Workshop facilitated by Success Integrated. Darren Pereira and DJ Dani (yes, a live DJ!) delivered two engaging and upbeat sessions that covered a range of helpful topics for our senior students: positive self talk and motivation, organisation and time management, building resilience, and examination strategies. Our senior students were able to dance away from the session with some newfound, highly practical skills that they can put into practice over the course of the year!

Zoos Victoria Youth Conservation Leaders Program:

A huge congratulations to Lola Rowe, who was successful in her application for the Zoos Victoria Youth Conservation Leaders Program. Lola was also awarded a scholarship position, which is an incredible achievement! Years 9-10 students from across Victoria can apply to participate in the highly competitive program, where they develop tangible and usable Science skills while growing as a leader in a group environment. Lola will have the opportunity to learn from Zoos Victoria mentors and be supported to undertake a Science research project to inform a wildlife conservation project. She will also learn about First Peoples connections to the land and how to care for wildlife to ensure a sustainable future. We can’t wait to see what you get up to, Lola!

Victorian High Ability Program (VHAP):

The Victorian High-Ability Program (VHAP) enables high-ability students in Years 5-8 to be challenged and extended in a supportive environment. The VHAP consists of ten-week online courses in Mathematics and English for both primary and secondary levels. 

Congratulations to four of our Year 8 students – Jonathan Geraghty, Luv Rai, Shaurya Nayak and Shanvi Venkatesh Babu – who participated in the VHAP in Term 1! Term 2 VHAP classes will commence on Tuesday 28th April, 2026.
