3v3 Basketball Tournament

Recently McClelland College had a total of 5 teams compete in the 3XCup State Schools Basketball Championships.
The 3xCup pathway begins with Qualifying Days held across March and April, with schools able to enter one or multiple events. Top teams from qualifying days advance to the 3XCup Schools State Championships in Term 2, where schools compete for the title of Schools State Champions! This opportunity was offered to students in years 7-10 who have successfully engaged in our Basketball MAP.
McClelland had a total of three teams compete in the U/15’s competition on Wednesday the 18th of March, with all teams playing hard and having a lot of fun. The most noticeable result was the McClelland Mustangs who placed 3rd overall, however a highlight was our team of year 7’s who were competing hard and challenging some much older, taller, and stronger players. On Thursday the 26th of March we entered two teams into the U/17’s competition, again all students competed and represented the College proudly. Most notably our McClelland Mavericks went undefeated and won the grand final! They will now get the opportunity to compete for the State Championship at the State Basketball Centre on the 29th of April.
Congratulations and good luck to the McClelland Mavericks
