Lucas LEAP

This term at Lucas LEAP we have been focusing on movement and active play. The students have been exploring different ways to move their bodies through group routines and dances. They have worked together to create sequences of movements that they can perform in sync as a group, and it has been wonderful to see their creativity, confidence and teamwork grow.

This Friday we also celebrated Harmony Day, which provided a great opportunity to reflect on inclusion, respect and belonging within our LEAP community. The children watched a short video to learn about the meaning of Harmony Day and engaged in thoughtful discussions about how we can show kindness and celebrate our differences. To follow on from this, the children created a collaborative hand wreath using decorated handprints, symbolising how we all come together as one. It was lovely to see each child contribute to a shared piece that represents unity and respect.

We look forward to continuing to build on our learning around movement, teamwork and inclusivity for the remainder of the term.
