Grand Prix 2026 – Year 12 VCE VM

The Year 12 VCE VM class on Thursday 5th March, were very fortunate to be able to attend the 2026 Melbourne Grand Prix. As part of the WRS curriculum, they investigated the occupational health and safety aspects of the Grand Prix and saw firsthand the work that goes on behind the scenes. The students also took part in the Driver Learning Program, hosted by the organisers of the Grand Prix event. We thank the students for their involvement and enthusiasm on the day.

Bushfire Wildlife Emergency Fundraiser – Year 12 VCE VM

“On behalf of the Year 12 VCE Vocational Major Team, we would like to thank you for your support.

Our Year 12 VCE Vocational Major students held a fundraiser to raise money for the wildlife that were affected by the recent bushfires. Ned and Dante, students from 12A, created and put together the Donation Box for this fundraiser. Our classes had set and created a roster, thanks to Madden, to take part in the Fundraiser and collect money for the charity.

We are so happy and glad to say we collected a total of $252.55 to give to the Melbourne Zoo Bushfire Emergency Fund to help the wildlife that were affected. We are very pleased at how brilliant the students acted and worked in this fundraiser, and we thank them for their participation in the 'Bushfire Wildlife Emergency Fundraiser', using their own time to help raise money for this worthy cause.

Thank you and Well Done!!”

Big Issue Classroom

On Friday 20th March, our Year 11 VCE VM students visited the Big Issue Classroom in the city. This excursion was linked to the students’ work that they had been completing in Literacy on the topic of ‘Homelessness’. The students visited the Big Issue Classroom, where they had a lesson on the associated issues, listened to a guest speaker and took part in a number of activities. The students also took part in a discovery activity in the CBD. Thank you for demonstrating maturity and respect during this activity, well done.
