Year 7 STEPers Blast Into Term 1!

Our Year 7 STEPers have had an action‑packed term filled with creativity, curiosity, and some seriously impressive science! Students wrapped up their Water Rockets unit with a spectacular competition last week, and we also enjoyed a magical Family Astronomy Night under the stars.

Year 7 STEP Family Astronomy Night – A Stellar Success

We were thrilled to welcome the Mornington Peninsula Astronomical Society (MPAS), who arrived with an incredible collection of telescopes and an engaging presentation before we all headed to the park next door.

Jupiter put on a show — complete with several of its moons — and the Moon looked absolutely brilliant. With around 150 people joining in, the night was buzzing with excitement and wonder. A huge thank‑you to everyone who came along and helped make it such a memorable evening.

Water Rocket Competition – Ready, Set, Launch!

Students took on three challenges:

• 10m Distance

• Longest Distance

• Strongest Branding

   

And the winners were…

A massive congratulations to all our winners — and a big well done to every student for their incredible designs, teamwork, and enthusiasm. The creativity on display was out of this world!
