Project Compassion

Caritas Australia has one major fundraising drive during Lent each year . This year we are being urged to "Unite Against Poverty." All Caritas Projects assist communities in developing countries by funding projects which will make people's lives better, not just for today but for the future.

Fresh drinking water and access to toilets is a basic  need that all children should have when attending school. Without them the health of children is at risk . Yet many of the communities Caritas supports do not have these facilities.

With your help, we hope that Trinity College can raise $10,000 this year which will provide a toilet block and a water tank for a school in Samoa.

There are only two more weeks to make a donation to Caritas. Please give generously by returning your money in an envelope, a Project Compassion Box or by donating online via the Online Store below.

Please give generously . If you can, we would like each family to donate at least $30 to this Appeal. Thank you.

Year 7 Mass

Our Year 7 students met in the Chapel on Tuesday for their first Mass as a cohort for 2025. Thank you to Old Boy Anders Phan(’22) for playing the piano. Thank you to Ms Bryant and her merry team of Year leaders who fulfilled all Mass roles with such reverence and expertise. A special thanks to all Year 7 PCG staff for all their support.

Finally, to our new Year 7 Altar Servers,a sincere thank you. For some, this was the first time serving in front of their peers and Trinity community. We will see these young men serving at all Year 7 Masses in the future.

Friday Community Mass

A big thank you to 12.8 and 8.8 for hosting our Mass this morning and to their PCG teachers, Mr Bumbak and Ms Scordo. A special thank you to our Altar Servers and Extraordinary Ministers, who always serve our College, with compassion and reverence.

Once again, it is lovely to see staff and parents at Mass.  Have a blessed and wonderful weekend.

Prefects’ Rice Bowl Lunch

This Lent, all students are invited to join in supporting Caritas Australia by purchasing a simple bowl of rice and a piece of fruit for $5 during lunch next Thursday 3 April. Participants will enjoy their simple lunch, seated at tables in Centenary Park. Tickets will be available in Campus Ministry from Friday during PCG.

Your purchase isn't just a meal — it's a message. It symbolises the daily reality of those living in poverty and helps raise awareness of the struggles they face. All proceeds will go directly to Caritas, helping provide food, water, education, and support to those who need it most.

If you’re interested in participating in this activity, please click ‘Yes’ on the following Microsoft Form: https://forms.office.com/r/UX2JCzkQht
