Respectful Relationships Curriculum

In Friendship Groups this Term, we will be engaging with the Respectful Relationships Curriculum. This unit supports students to develop emotional awareness, self-regulation, and positive coping strategies. Students learn how to recognise emotions, manage challenges, and build resilience using practical tools.

This is what the lessons will cover:

Learning Intentions

  • Understand and identify a range of emotions
  • Develop strategies to regulate emotions
  • Practise positive self-talk and coping skills
  • Build independence in managing wellbeing

Success Criteria

  • I can identify my emotions and describe how they feel
  • I can use strategies to calm myself down
  • I can make positive choices when I feel upset
  • I can use positive self-talk

This week, we started learning what calm looks and feels like and practising calming strategies. The students made their own Calming Toolbox with strategies they can use to help calm themselves down.

Cyber Safety Curriculum

This term, we will be starting our Online Digital Safety Learning through the Cyber Safety Project! We were excited to be accepted to the Cyber Safety Project Pilot through MAC's, where students will be engaging with lessons and resources that teach them about how to be safe online! There will be a range of resources coming for families as well. One is an upcoming event you may be interested in.
