Year 5/6 - Newsletter

Hi Year 5/6 Parents,
As we approach the end of the term, here is a brief update on what our Year 5/6 students have been learning in the classroom.
Reading
We have finished our class novel The Silver Donkey. Students engaged in a range of activities focusing on vocabulary development and exploring key themes from the text.
Writing
Students have been busy writing their own traditional-style fables. They have worked hard to include clear morals in their stories, demonstrating creativity and a strong understanding of the genre.
MathematicsIn Maths, students have been learning about angles. They are becoming increasingly confident in measuring and drawing angles using a protractor.
Inquiry
As part of our Inquiry unit, students presented their “Best Thing Ever” products to the class. It was fantastic to see their creativity, with many using unique and engaging advertising techniques.
