Learning Behaviour Reports and Student Learning Conferences
As Term 3 progresses, families are encouraged to take advantage of two important opportunities to engage with their child’s learning: Learning Behaviour Reports and Student Learning Conferences. Together, these provide valuable information about student progress, learning habits and future goals.
Learning Behaviour Reports
Learning Behaviour Reports for students in Years 7–11 will be available through SPACE from Friday, 28 August. Year 12 students are excluded from this reporting round.
An LBR is not an academic grade. It provides a snapshot of the behaviours and habits a student demonstrates in each subject. These may include engagement, organisation, participation, persistence and responsiveness to feedback.
The ratings describe how frequently each behaviour has been observed:
• Consistently: demonstrated reliably across lessons and over time.
• Frequently: demonstrated regularly, with occasional reminders or inconsistencies.
• Sometimes: demonstrated unevenly and requiring a more focused effort.
• Rarely: not yet demonstrated often enough and requiring support and improvement.
These ratings describe the frequency of a behaviour, not a student’s ability, potential or personal qualities. Families are encouraged to look for patterns across subjects rather than focusing on one result in isolation. Comparing the Term 3 report with the Term 1 report may also help identify growth and areas that remain priorities.
Useful questions to discuss at home include:
• Which result are you most proud of?
• Which learning behaviour would make the greatest difference next term?
• What support would help you improve?

Student Learning Conferences
Student Learning Conferences for students in Years 7–11 will be held on Tuesday, 1st September, from 11.30 am–8.00 pm.
The conferences will operate in a hybrid format, meaning families may choose to meet with teachers either face to face at the College or online via Teams on the same day.
Bookings will:
• Open on Friday, 28 August
• Close on Monday, 31 August
Student Learning Conferences provide an opportunity for students, families and teachers to discuss achievement, recognise strengths and address areas requiring attention. Students are encouraged to participate in these conversations, reflect on their progress and contribute to setting realistic goals for the remainder of the year.

Languages Week 3-7 August
St Peter’s College celebrated Languages Week from 3-7 August. The week was an opportunity to celebrate the culturally and linguistically diverse community of our College.
Each day, a student wrote and recorded a prayer in their home language, accompanied by an English translation. Languages featured throughout the week included Vietnamese, Punjabi, Filipino languages, French, and many more.
We also received more than 300 responses to our daily quizzes, demonstrating students’ enthusiasm for geography, languages, and cultures.
The highlights of the week were undoubtedly the wide range of cultural activities on offer, including crêpe making, sushi making, origami, and Beyblade competitions. Students fully immersed themselves in different cultures and enjoyed many fun and memorable experiences.
We are already looking forward to celebrating Languages Week again next year!
