Parent Support Group Meetings and Personalised Learning Plans
As part of our commitment to working in partnership with families, families of students who are supported through a Parent Support Group (PSG) are invited to attend at least two PSG meetings each year.
These meetings provide an important opportunity to discuss your child's progress, celebrate achievements, and collaborate on goals and support strategies. Parent Support Group meetings can be conducted either in person or by phone. Additional meetings are also arranged at both the request of families and the school as needed. We are also able to include Allied Heath and other professionals engaged by families in these meetings, such as Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists where appropriate. It can be important for more regular meetings at times, to provide families and the school greater opportunities to communicate ongoing needs as they arise.
This term, students' Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs) will be shared with parents and via Adobe. These plans outline individual learning goals and the supports in place to help each student achieve success.
Some families will receive and email invitation to attend an in-person PSG meeting this term to discuss their child's progress and PLP. Families selected for these meetings will receive an email invitation with further details. These meetings will be held over the last two weeks of term, with some early Term 4. If an in-person meeting is not suitable, it can be arranged to be over the phone.
If you would like to discuss your child's progress and PLP but do not receive an email invitation to attend a PSG meeting, you are welcome to request a PSG meeting. These would likely be held early next term, either in person or by phone.
To arrange a meeting or discuss any questions you may have, please contact Jackie Hammond via email at jackie.hammond@sjwreservoirnth.catholic.edu.au.
Thank you for your ongoing partnership and support in your child's learning journey.
