All Things Hub

At the end of last year, we were fortunate to be awarded a Community Grant from Mission Australia to support the delivery of a Summer Sports program in Playgroup. This is a wonderful opportunity for our Hub, and it involved a thoughtful selection process that included primary school students. A panel of Grade Five students carefully reviewed all submissions against the program’s criteria and determined that our proposal strongly supports children’s health and wellbeing in Greater Dandenong. They were especially impressed by the idea of Sports Playgroup, describing it as a fun way “for younger kids to have fun”, something that will “help a lot of kids”, and that the best part is parents and carers can be part of the fun too!

So, to kick off our 2026 Playgroup year, we are proud to present Summer Sports! A series of fun and active sessions where children will have fun and build confidence while learning fundamental movement skills through play with a trained coach from Kelly Sports. Fundamental movement skills help children develop running, jumping, throwing and catching, and build confidence, coordination and social skills all through playful activities and games. 

The best part of all is that this program is completely free! So, if you’ve always been interested in enrolling your child in a sports program, now is the perfect time to join!

What to expect:

📍 Springvale Campus (Playgroup) 12pm-1.30pm📅 Wednesdays — 4 March, 11 March, 18 March, 25 March & 1 April

📍 Heights Campus (Playgroup) 9.30am-11.30am 📅 Thursdays — 5 March, 12 March, 19 March, 26 March & 2 April
