Visual Arts on Springvale
Welcome back to a fun filled term learning and artmaking! Here is a snapshot to celebrate the artwork students have been completing in the areas of drawing and printing on the Springvale Campus.
The FLC students have experimented with drawing materials to make artwork. They have produced linear marks and images on different surfaces to create coloured shapes, lines pictures and self-portraits. FLC have used drawing tools and techniques to create imaginative artworks.
The JLC students created Lunar Zodiac Snake artworks and self-portraits for collaborative displays. In their work, they applied key art elements—line, space, shape, colour and tone—to communicate their ideas and personal expression.
The MLC students have focused on the use of art skills and processes to create artworks using drawing materials and techniques. They discussed the use of art elements such as line and value, and produced imaginative self-portraits and art inspired by cultural celebrations.
The SLC students have participated in a collage and drawing unit which resulted in the creation of self-portraits and still life drawings. They have used collage processes to create imaginative landscapes and are currently participating in a painting unit with a particular focus on abstract expressionist painting techniques and styles used by the artist Jackson Pollock.
