Deputy Principal

Dear Sacred Heart Community,
After a wonderful whole school celebration at our Opening mass, it was time for our Year 6 students to put on their Graduation rugby tops and head out in style. Many thanks to Cettina for organising this wonderful keepsake ~ and even had time to create a special one for our leader, Antoniette, in this her very first year of being Principal.
Congratulations everyone (especially Kate) on making our celebration such a wonderful occasion. All teachers, students and parents should look forward with extreme possitivity and renewal about 2026 and sacred Heart....Together, We Grow!
Sacred Heart Community Working Bee!
One of our most successful events last year was the Working Bee which attracted all sorts of greenfingers and greenthumbs and basically just greenies to our great school.
AND IT'S ON AGAIN!!!
Saturday, March 14th @ 9am - 12noon.
Come for an hour, come for the lot! Stay for a while or just stay for the drinks and BBQ! As we prepare for our Autumnal weather, we would love you and your family to come and join us on the Saturday to give this place a nice tidy up. Bring your own tools or just bring yourself. It would be great to see you!
Cyber Safety
Australia's Online Safety Amendment (Social Media Minimum Age) Act 2024, effective from December 10, 2025, bans children under 16 from accessing major social media platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, and Snapchat.
Can you please have a conversation with your child about accessing any of these platforms. We are concerned about your child's safety and it is disconcerting to hear that some students are still accessing these platforms. We encourage you to have the tough discussions with your kids about online safety and the new legislation passed in Parliament, designed to keep all children under 16 safe on the internet.
Rosetta, our ICT leader and Kate (with her Wellbeing hat on) are presenting a Safe Online Parent Evening on Wednesday 18th of March at 6pm at Sacred Heart - we encourage every parent and carer to come along. Child minding will be available on the evening.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Regards,
Marty Fitzpatrick
