VPC

The 2026 VPC class has made a strong and energetic start to the year, quickly settling into routines and embracing new opportunities. With our largest cohort in many years, an expansion of our learning space was needed. Thanks to Marcus and a team of local trades, our classroom was significantly extended within the first few weeks of term. After a few final adjustments, we now have a functional and welcoming space that supports both learning and collaboration.

We have also welcomed two new staff members to the VPC team. Trent Cremin has joined us to teach WRS and introduce an exciting new Food Studies elective, while Josh Naish has been team teaching the WRS units alongside Trent. Students have also been enjoying the new Art & Design unit, which runs each Friday and provides a creative outlet to complement their learning.

Our Thursday café has had a very successful start to the year. New students have confidently taken on different roles, learning valuable teamwork and customer service skills. The group also demonstrated excellent collaboration in planning and running several key events, including Shrove Tuesday, International Women’s Day, and our annual Harmony Day café.

Overall, the group has settled in exceptionally well and shown a positive attitude towards their learning. They have worked hard throughout the term and are well deserving of a restful break as Term 1 comes to a close.
