December 2024
Students celebrated the end of the year by holding school concerts for their families and friends. After hours of practice, their hard work all paid off in a spectacle of colour and music.
We had a wonderful year, with access to some amazing opportunities and experiences. We cannot wait to see what 2025 brings us!
Here are some of the things IMPACT students did in Term 4:
On Wednesday 11 December, a group of NBC students performed as part of the Delightful Days and Matinees Christmas performance at GPAC. Performing alongside Lucy Durack, an Australian actress, singer and tv personality who played Glinda in the Australian production of Wicked, and Elle Woods in the Australian production of Legally Blonde: The Musical. The performance certainly did our college and community very proud. Our students were the stars of the show.
BeeBop Circus
Our Year 9 Impact students found out there is so much to learn to be in the circus. Nic from BeeBop Circus spoke about how he joined the circus and shared many of his stories and tricks with the students.
Celebration Day
An Important part of our IMPACT program is celebrating our learning with their families and staff across the college. Students had their celebration day with a great turn out of interested families and staff who were keen to see the work of our students.
Thank you to all the students that attended the Extended School Day program in 2024, and all the staff that helped out with their fun and exciting classes. We had everything from arts and crafts, to D&D and a Swifties club. What an exciting year!!
Extended School Day will be back for 2025 with some exciting classes! Stay Tuned for more information!
Christmas Day out
The Extended School Day program rounded the year out with a very special day out, spreading Christmas cheer at Federation Square. A big crowd gathered to hear our students sing a number of songs, with lots of cheers after every carol.
There was also lots of fun along the way, with the Myer Christmas windows, the giant see-saws and a visit from Santa himself!
