Geelong Show Band Performance

On Thursday 16th October and Friday 17th October, a few of our BHS music ensembles performed at the Royal Geelong Show. Both Beginning Band and Intermediate Band entertained the crowds on Thursday, whilst Chopped Band and the Woodwind Ensemble performed on Friday. Every group played really well and had a very positive response from the audience. A big thank you to our parent volunteers: Sandra Coulson, Joanne Alexander and Angela Breen, who assisted Ms Moffatt and Mrs Linton so well with the concert bands. It was a hot and windy day but we had a lot of fun performing and exploring the Show. Well done to all the students involved!

Spring Concert (Thursday, 16th October)

For the first time, we had our Show performance and Spring Concert on the same day! It was a long but enjoyable day with many fine performances from all our instrumental and vocal ensembles. They have certainly all progressed so much since our Winter Concert! Many thanks to Joel Gladman and the wonderful Music Support parents who made this concert such a successful event. They transformed the BHS Gym into a Spring wonderland!  Thanks to all the music staff and students who worked tirelessly on the day to help make it all come together. Farewell to our amazing Year 12 music students. We wish them all the best for their upcoming VCE Exams and best of luck for the future. We hope they keep playing and enjoying music once they leave BHS and thank them for their great contribution to the music program over the years.
