The most beautiful world is always entered through the imagination’. – Helen Keller
Remembering Together
On Tuesday 11th November, students from classes 3C and 3D took part in a thoughtful discussion about the importance and symbolism of the poppy for Remembrance Day. Together, they explored how the red poppy serves as a powerful reminder of those who served and sacrificed, as well as a symbol of hope for peace in the future.
The students created a beautiful field of poppies now displayed at the front entryway of the school. This heartfelt display invites everyone in our school community to pause, remember and give thanks.
The red poppy is a symbol of remembrance,
It honours those who served,
Those who fell,
And the hope for a peaceful future.
Lest we forget.
