Year 11 Students Share the Spirit of Giving
As the Year 11 students concluded their formal classes for the year, they took part in a heartfelt initiative to support the Vinnies Christmas Appeal. Each student was invited to donate a gift, and the response was truly uplifting. These gifts will be included in Christmas hampers distributed by Kelmscott Vinnies to families in need. For some recipients, these may be the only presents they receive on Christmas Day, making each donation a meaningful act of kindness.
Working together in their homerooms, the Year 11s embraced the opportunity to bring joy to children and relief to parents during the festive season. Their generosity was a beautiful reflection of the values we hold dear at Lumen Christi College.
The gifts were offered up during the End-of-Year Liturgy, adding a special moment of reflection and gratitude to the celebration. We are proud of our students for their compassion and community spirit.
Looking ahead, students in Years 7 to 10 will soon be invited to participate in the Christmas Food Drive later this term. This is another wonderful opportunity for our school community to come together and support those in need during the holiday season.
Community Kitchen continues this term, after school from 3:15pm until 4:30pm on the following dates:
- Week 6 – 19 November
- Week 8 – 3 December
Everyone is welcome to come along and help with any of the Vinnies events. Email Janine.creighton@cewa.edu.au for more information.
