From the Principal

As we move through Term 4, it’s wonderful to reflect on the achievements and milestones that continue to shape our college community.
Farewell to Our Year 11 Students
Last Friday, 7 November, marked the completion of formal classes for our Year 11 students. Many have already commenced their exams and will soon enjoy a well-deserved holiday break. We wish them every success in their studies and look forward to welcoming them back next year as the senior leaders of our college.
Meanwhile, our youngest students, the Year 7 cohort, had a varied Week 5 filled with enriching experiences, including their Year 7 Retreat and a HASS excursion to the State Parliament of Western Australia. Both events were a great success and provided opportunities for growth, reflection, and learning beyond the classroom.
A Day in the Life of a Lumen Student
‘A Day in the Life of a Lumen Student’, took place last week. This annual event invites Year 4 students from local primary schools to experience a taste of high school life at Lumen Christi College. It’s a fantastic way for students to discover what makes Lumen unique and why we are a school of choice.
Our strong enrolments are reflected in a growing waitlist, and I would like to remind parents that:
- Year 7, 2026 is full.
- Year 7, 2027 is filling quickly.
Year 7, 2028 enrolment interviews will commence in Term 1 next year.
Please be aware that even if you already have children enrolled at the College, it is very important that applications for siblings are submitted as soon as possible to ensure that you don’t miss out on a place. Click here to apply.
Transition to the New College Uniform – 2026
From the beginning of 2026, all students will be required to wear the new college uniform as our two-year transition period has now come to an end. The uniform is an important symbol of belonging and pride, and the updated design reflects our inclusive values and commitment to excellence.
Please note, in addition to wearing the new college uniform from Term 1 next year, the following changes will also take place in 2026:
- Students will be required to wear the new formal uniform each day (Monday to Friday) meaning that House shirts and sport uniform will no longer be worn on Wednesdays. This is partly due to a general decline in uniform standards on Thursdays and Fridays. We will review uniform standards towards the end of 2026.
- For lessons requiring students to wear an alternative uniform (such as Health & Physical Education and Dance) students will be required to change into that uniform at the beginning of the respective lesson.
Full details of the uniform requirements for 2026 can be found here.
Thank you for your continued support and for working in partnership with us to ensure that Lumen Christi College is a place of growth, faith, and excellence. Together, we look forward to finishing the year strongly and preparing for an exciting 2026.
