Work Placement Opportunities for 2026
Students in Years 11 and 12 who are interested in gaining hands-on industry experience through ADWPL (Authority-Developed Workplace Learning) are encouraged to express their interest now.
Participating in ADWPL helps students develop practical skills, build confidence, and gain valuable insight into potential career pathways. Completing a Smart Move Certificate is a required step, ensuring students are prepared for workplace expectations and safety standards.
These opportunities can also lead to future apprenticeships or traineeships, giving students a strong start toward their chosen careers. Students interested in ADWPL placements for 2026 should contact rosa.nicholls@cewa.edu.au.
School-Based Traineeships
Some of our Year 10 students are currently taking part in interviews for school-based traineeships to study a Certificate II in Supply Chain Operations with Reece Plumbing over the next two weeks. This is an exciting step toward gaining valuable real-world experience while continuing their studies. We wish all students the very best of luck.
VET Spotlight
We warmly congratulate Savanna Bazzica in Year 12 on securing a position as a Technician Assistant for Hydraulics with HWC Hydraulics. Savanna completed the internal Certificate III in Engineering course with South Metro TAFE, showing strong commitment and enthusiasm for her chosen pathway.
This is a fantastic achievement and a great example of where dedication and vocational learning can lead.
Well done.
