Melbourne Polytechnic Campus Tour

Two of our students, Ben and Caleb, recently visited Melbourne Polytechnic’s Epping Campus for a tour focused on Animal Studies, Carpentry, and Construction.

At the Animal Studies area, the students met the teachers, explored the classrooms, and spent some time with the staff’s dogs.

Over in Carpentry, the class was busy building a small shed, which gave us the chance to see the hands-on learning students get to experience.

This visit helped Ben and Caleb gain a clearer understanding of what they’d like to study next year at Melbourne Polytechnic. We look forward to organising more area-specific campus tours for our students in the future.

Julian – Toyota

Julian has been a student at PRC since 2024 and has always shown a strong interest in mechanics. Last year, he began his work experience at Toyota, where his performance was so impressive that they invited him to continue working on Fridays for all of 2025.

During his time there, Julian has learned how to service cars, complete brake bleeds, assist with software updates, change spark plugs, and carry out other general repairs. The feedback from his supervisor has been outstanding, recognising Julian’s consistency, punctuality, and excellent work ethic.

We are very proud to share that Toyota has offered Julian an apprenticeship for 2026. His dedication and growth have been exceptional, well done, Julian!

Ollie – Whittley Marine Group

Ollie has a strong passion for boats and fishing — from day one, he’s lived and breathed everything to do with the water. This year, he’s been completing his work experience with Whittley Marine Group, where his enthusiasm and engagement have really stood out.

Ollie has been so keen to learn and get involved, and the feedback from Whittley has been extremely positive. His passion and commitment have not gone unnoticed, and we’re thrilled to share that he’s been offered an apprenticeship with Whittley for 2026.

We’re so proud of Ollie’s achievements and can’t wait to see where his love for boating and fishing takes him in the future.
