Captains Corner

Wow term 4 is flying by so fast! It felt like it was yesterday that we were walking into our classes for the last term of 2025. As the end of year approaches we have many events going on at GWPS.

Prep Transition: It has been great to see next year’s Prep children in our school as they become familiar with their new school. This week the kindergarten children experienced Mandarin, PE and Music. It has been so cool getting to know them and also reflecting that it was only 7 years ago that we were in the same situation.

Year 6 Graduation: On the 4th December, the year 6’s will be graduating primary school. As we celebrate them on the night there are lots of things that come into place when preparing for the day. For example, they are currently voting on a year level speaker to talk on the evening. Can’t wait to celebrate all their successes and accomplishments soon!

Christmas Fundraiser: As Christmas is coming soon, GWPS is doing a lot to prepare. We are holding a fundraiser where families can bring cans and bottles such as sugar, tea and dry foods. Hope to see all of your contributions and donations!

It is also wonderful to see so many of our fellow students excel in different things such as chess, athletics and coding. Congratulations to all of the children who have achieved so much over the last few weeks and good luck with the different state finals coming up.
