‘Blessed to be a blessing’
There is a wonderful pattern in the Bible of blessing others out of the blessings that we have been given. 2 Corinthians 8 shows how this is modelled by Jesus himself,
9 You know the grace shown by our Lord Jesus Christ. Even though he was rich, he became poor to help you. Because he became poor, you can become rich. (NIRV)
This spiritual ‘richness’ of Jesus gives us the great benefit of receiving the forgiveness of God through faith. We benefit because of God’s generous grace.
Today we celebrate the generosity of our Primary families in the Operation Christmas Child project led by Mrs McMaster so that others can be blessed.
Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes 2026
We would like to thank our generous Moama Anglican Grammar families for their donations towards the 2026 Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. Some families packed their own boxes, and many donated items to fill boxes within each Primary classroom.
Janene Davenport was our Samaritan’s Purse community volunteer this year, and we thank her for visiting us to promote the project and collect all the boxes so they can be shipped to children across the Asia Pacific region.
We received lots of stationery, craft supplies and colouring books, clothes, toothbrushes, hairbrushes and hair ties, balls, skipping ropes and toys. Thank you so much for participating this year. We look forward to finding out which country the boxes will be going to and anticipate the excitement and joy each child will experience when receiving our boxes.
Thank you for contributing to Operation Christmas Child 2026! We will soon announce our 2026 Christmas Hamper Drive so that we can share our blessings with people in our community through our partnership with Anglicare.
Kind regards,
