School Wide Positive Behaviour Support and Respective Relationships News

Time Owed is currently going through a rename to the Reflection Room, as the space has been created to either unpack an incident that has occurred in the yard in a calm space, for all students to be able to share their story.

At CSPS, students who are involved in yard incidents may be asked to attend the Reflection room at lunchtime. This is to allow for teachers to investigate incidents and disagreements outside of teaching time, for students to all have their voice heard and for restorative conversations to be held. We speak to each student individually about what they know, how they felt and the impact it had on them. If a student is deemed to have broken the Embrace 4 Rules and / or committed a major behaviour then a compass notification will be sent to parents / carers (Reflection Room Notification to Parents/Carers). Major behaviours are those committed with intent.

50 Point Club

The following students were awarded certificates at our last assembly for reaching 50 positive points this year. Positive points are awarded for demonstrating expected behaviours and showing  the 5Ps. We look forward to acknowledging more students for this achievement at the next assembly.

100 Point Club

Congratulations to Laura in 1B for being the first student to reach the 100 point club!

CSPS is now an SWPBS Gold Award School after being recognised for our hard work in 2024.

Having obtained the Silver Award in 2023, the SWPBS team worked hard to achieve Gold in 2024; the highest award available from the Department of Education. We are continuing this hard work into 2025 and are looking forward to consistently growing our skills and knowledge in this area of expertise.

Lunch Clubs Week 4-8

Reading Club - We have had a fantastic time in the reading club. Students have had the opportunity to read to younger students or to read to themselves. Our older students have also started reading a book called Wylah the Warrior which has an indigenous Australian main character. It's been so much fun discussing the character and her adventures.

Gardening Club- The Students have been joining Mrs Halket in keeping the garden clean. Spreading out mulch, pulling weeds and watering plants after the long hot Summer we have had.

Harma beads- It's been great to see so many different faces in the Harma Beads club. They've enjoyed creating and making different bracelets and bead craft at Lunch on Tuesday in Mrs Mills room.

Outdoor Oasis- We have had so many students come and visit the Outdoor Oasis at Break 2. This space allows the students to interact and play with each other in a slower and calmer space. If you have any old board games or giant outdoor games that you know longer have a use for, can you send them in as we are always looking for different games and activities to keep the space interesting for students.
