Selamat Idul Fitri! (Happy Eid)

I hope all embers of our community that have been celebrating Eid these last few days have had a wonderful time with friends and family.

Students who have classes on Wednesday Thursday and Friday have done a tiny bit of learning about this celebration last week.

WHAT LANGUAGE HAVE WE BEEN LEARNING?

Foundation: Siapa nama kamu? (What is your name?) Nama saya …………….. (My name is………..?)

Grade one: Berapa umur kamu? (How old are you?) Umur saya ….tahun (I am ….years old)

Grade Two: Umur = age, why do Indonesians ask ‘what is your age’ instead of ‘how old are you’ – we have different expressions for the same question, why is that?

Middles : Members of a family and the questions “Siapa ini?” and “Ada berapa…….?”

Seniors: By Tuesday all seniors will have started building two sentence stories that use the verbs “punya” and “mau”. (Have and want)
