Plant & Produce Market

A big thank you to our wonderful BNWPS community for making the Plant & Produce Market last Friday such a success. It was beautifully attended, and we’re so grateful for the generous donations — from plants and herbs to delicious baked treats and goodies.

It was lovely to see kids enjoying their treats, while grown-ups browsed the selection of plants, herbs and homegrown produce on offer. A true community moment.

Special thanks to our CET team members and parent helpers on the day, including Sarah Purcell, Tatiana Stephens, Philippa Jolliffe, Natalie Forde and Sam Sowerwine… among others!

We always welcome new volunteers, with flexible and low-pressure ways to join in.

Exciting news! One of our wonderful CET members, Joel, has kicked off a “Mother’s Day Men” WhatsApp group. This is a space for Dads and male-identifying carers to get involved in a special upcoming event — our Autumn Family Day Plant & Produce Market on Friday 8 May (Term 2), in the lead-up to Mother’s Day.

We’ll be inviting the menfolk and male-identifying carers of BNWPS to step in — donating goodies and volunteering to run the market — as a way of celebrating the amazing mama’s in our community.

Spring Magic Market is a major BNWPS annual event, with more details coming later in the year. For enquiries about market planning or stalls, please contact market@brunswicknwps.vic.edu.au. 

(Families are very welcome to be involved in both teams.)
